5 days in Darwin

Lucky I am. Don’t I know it, cherish it, appreciate it. I know some of you, in fact a lot of you have lost your mums. My heart literally aches for you every time I read a post about your loss and sadness. I grieve for you, I grieve with you. Even though your griefContinue reading “5 days in Darwin”

Never smile at a crocodile?

I did and I survived Day three of “chicks on holiday adventure in Darwin” Wow what a day. Adelaide river here we come. I loved the drive inland. Only a couple of hours. Great roads, easy driving. Peaceful! It was wakeful meditation. Mum and I head out with to meet Captain Harry, a fervent conservationistContinue reading “Never smile at a crocodile?”

Buskers, belting out tunes, trying to sell you aContinue reading “Venice Beach, grunge, vibes, wall art and vegan cafes”

Tropical, paddocks, little shacks.  Cubans sitting on their verandahs. In their rocking chairs passing time, smoking, drinking coffee or rum. What’s the hurry anyway. Everything manana.Continue reading “Trinidad Cuba and my love affair”

I cried for a long time that day

Leaving Vinales I step out on to the balcony and take in the view one last time. It is breathtaking as the sun rises over the mogotes (mountains). Feeling a little melancholy as I know it really will be the last time. I silently say thank you for the experience as I breathe in oneContinue reading “I cried for a long time that day”
